- This year's event was held in the very large and
luxurious Sefton Room at The Adelphi Hotel, Liverpool. Twelve
well matched teams competed over six very friendly and exciting
rounds against the 10 second buzzer. David Welch FIDE
International Arbiter, responsible for the pairings was ably
assisted by MCA Secretary John Davis. The games started
promptly at 7.30pm with Atticus 2 the eventual winners with 17½
points
following their final round victory over Atticus 1.

hardly have been more ideal.
